Media Buyer, Video Investment, National Video

The Media Buyer, Video Investment, National Video position falls within our National Video Investment group and is responsible for the day-to-day operations within the organization as well as negotiations of certain media buys. This includes overseeing the successful execution of National TV/Video media campaigns and assisting in fulfilling our client’s goals. The Media Buyer will also guide, and direct Assistant Media Buyers as needed.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain and steward Video buys on certain accounts
• Utilize SBMS buying system and input media schedules, produce post-buy analysis reports and resolve billing discrepancies
• Assuming Assistant Media Buyer duties and responsibilities when necessary
• Negotiate Video buys utilizing corporate trade/barter
• Secure added value and sponsorships on certain buys
• Support supervisors with daily responsibilities
• Anticipate next steps, be proactive and solution oriented
• Recommend solutions to operational issues
• Guide and direct Assistant Media Buyers as needed with day-to-day tasks
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of industry trends and modern technologies that effect the buying discipline
• Effectively communicate needs to vendors to get results in a timely manner
• Serve as the primary point of contact for certain vendors
• Create and issue reports to clients within deadlines
• Communicate day-to-day needs/requests with clients

Knowledge & Skills Required

• BA/BS required, ideally in advertising or marketing
• Previous experience as a Media Assistant, Assistant Buyer, or Network Sales Assistant preferred
• Finance and/or Communication background preferred
• Advanced knowledge of and experience with excel and PowerPoint preferred
• Strong passion for National Television/Video Investments
• Articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and focused on attention to detail
• A team player who can prioritize and juggle multiple tasks
• One who can work and maintain a positive attitude within in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Someone who can build rapport and relationships with co-workers and within the Video Investment industry
