Manager, Business Development Administration

The Manager, Business Development Administration provides support to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)/Head of Sales Group as needed. This individual will ensure efficient operation of the office based on a thorough knowledge of its specialized functions and be able to carry out administrative duties with accuracy and speed.

Duties & Responsibilities
Prospecting

  • Partner with the CRO to research, identify and track sales opportunities
  • Collect and distribute pipeline data from dashboard applications to identify trends and forecasting on a quarterly basis
  • Prepare and distribute sales tracking reports to the Business Development group; Create custom reports as assigned by the CRO

Operations

  • Coordinate between departments and operating units in resolving day-to-day administrative and operational problems
  • Assist with day-to-day business operations in support of New Business Development goals – account management and research, creation of sales decks, budget management
  • Oversee conference and tradeshow opportunities – organize and manage tradeshow and conference calendar, track prospects of shows and booked meetings progress, provide research on key companies and individuals attending, prepare all post show follow-up

Event Planning/Management

  • Oversees all aspects of event planning and management, including internal and external events to support sales operations, as well as company-wide social events
  • Pre-event coordination – source venue and entertainment, coordinate travel and accommodations for performers and guest speakers, as well as guest lists, dining and seating arrangements
  • Day-of event management – direct event set-up, communicate with staff, organize vendors, welcome guests, manage event take-down process

Administrative

  • Organize business-related activities, including but not limited to, maintenance of paper and electronic filing systems, database management, producing documents and presentations, preparing meeting agendas and post meeting recaps/follow-up
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, events and travel arrangements
  • Issue and reconcile invoices and/or collect payments in a timely manner and create comprehensive financial reports
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned based on the needs of the Business Development Team

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years previous experience supporting a team, preferably in a Sales capacity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Assessments will be given on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working with a CRM a plus, particularly Salesforce
  • Demonstrated interest in the media industry with a desire to learn more
